Callie Bax has worked at Modern Dental Group since 1999. In those years she has held many different positions to suit the office needs and currently handles all insurance claims. Callie has been married for 12 years and has two sons and a daughter. In her free time she enjoys camping with her family and crafting.
Amanda Beer began with Modern Dental Group in 2006 shortly after graduating from Tri-State Business Institute. She is a certified dental assistant for Dr. DeMarco.
Angela Colvin graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Dental Hygiene program and has been practicing since 1994. She began working for Dr. Casella in 2005. Angela enjoys the educational aspects of her job, both for children and adults, and teaching patients the importance of practicing good dental health habits at home. When Angela is not working she enjoys spending time with her family and coaching her children's soccer teams.
Kaley Ferry began with Modern Dental Group in 2002. She is a 2000 graduate from Fort Le Boeuf High School. Through the years her knowledge and responsibilities have grown. She would be able to handle any scheduling quesions you may have. Kaley and her husband have been married for over 4 years and live in Fairview. Her and her husband welcomed their first child Lauren in May 2009.
Kerri Fisher has been with Modern Dental Group since 2005, and is a certified dental assistant for Dr. Walbridge. Kerri graduated from Harborcreek High School then moved on to earn her Dental Assisting degree from Great Lakes Institute of Technology.
Janelle Gwin has been practicing dental hygiene at Modern Dental Group since 2005. She graduated from Allegany College of Maryland in 2004 with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. Outside of the office, Janelle enjoys spending time with her family and friends, dining out, and playing with her pets.
Maggie Hersch, born and raised in Erie, is a registered Dental Hygienist and has been with Modern Dental Group since 2007. Maggie graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2004. She continued at the University of Pittsburgh to earn her Batchelor of Science Degree in 2005. Prior to joining Modern Dental Group, Maggie worked in a private practice for three years in downtown Pittsburgh. Maggie enjoys spending time with her family, sports of all kinds, including golf and Erie summers.
Dawn Machinski has worked in the dental field since 1994, and has been with Modern Dental Group since 1997. She is very experienced with all aspects of front office patient care, including insurance and scheduling. Dawn has been married to her husband since 1990 and has a son who is currently attending college. Dawn enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Allison Sanfilippo graduated from JH Thompson in 1993 and is a certified dental assistant. She has been working with Dr. Casella since 1994 and is the longest standing employee here at the office. Allison enjoys playing with her 2 children and boating on Lake Erie.
Carrie Sawin received her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Pittsburgh in 1993. She continued on to West Virginia University for an additional year where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. She worked at a pediatric office for 3 years following graduation until she joined our practice full time in September of 1997. Since the birth of her daughter in 2001, she continues to work for our group part time. Carrie's number one priority is spending time with her family. She also enjoys hanging out with friends, going to Jazzercise and staying active in her church.
